Spartan Education Group is pleased to announce its participation as an exhibitor at the 2024 AOPA You Can Fly High School Aviation STEM Symposium presented by Boeing, taking place November 12-14 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia. The annual event, hosted by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), brings together educators, industry leaders, and students to explore STEM and aviation training opportunities for potential careers as pilots, drone operators, aerospace engineers, and more. AOPA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to general aviation, was incorporated on May 15, 1939. From the start, AOPA has fought to protect the freedom to fly while keeping general aviation safe, fun, and affordable. Growth in the early years was slow, but by 2010 more than 400,000 individuals were AOPA members.

Aviation is a natural extension of STEM education, incorporating critical elements of science, technology, engineering, and math. Through its programs, Spartan Education Group aims to provide students with a strong STEM foundation, preparing them for the technical demands and rapid innovation within the aviation industry. "We’re thrilled to be part of this year’s AOPA High School Aviation STEM Symposium," said Glenn Thompkins, Vice President of Educational Partners at Spartan Education Group. "Our goal is to inspire students and provide them with the information they need to pursue aviation training for exciting and rewarding futures. Aviation is an industry where their STEM skills can surely take flight."

Spartan’s participation at the symposium as an exhibitor aims to highlight the diverse options available in aviation education, from pilot training to pilot training to aircraft maintenance, avionics, and beyond. In addition, Spartan will provide insights into their e-of-a-kind airline-partnered pilot training pathways Altitude – in partnership with Allegiant Air, and the recently launched Atlas Cadet Academy – in partnership with Atlas AirSEG admissions representatives and Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) will be on-site and fully equipped with comprehensive details on their aviation industry training program offerings and pilot pathways.
