Learn About The Altitude Pilot Pathway

The Altitude Pilot Pathway is a unique opportunity for new students to train for careers as pilots at Allegiant through Certified Flight Instructors*. Allegiant has partnered with McAir as their training provider. During the Altitude journey, cadets will:

• Interview while building flight hours
• Learn Allegiant culture and values first-hand
• Develop critical leadership skills
• Train for six FAA certificates and ratings*

Up to $50k loan payment after 3 years of service (Conditional on meeting performance expectations).

*The Pathway is available to interested McAir Aviation and Metro State University Denver students. Pathway terms and availability may be subject to change. Are you ready to take the next step in your aviation career and become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)?

Join us for an info session on March 5th or 12th at 5:00 PM (MT) to learn more about the McAir Aviation CFI Academy — a comprehensive training program designed to guide you from start to finish on your journey to becoming a CFI.

About the CFI Academy: The McAir Aviation CFI Academy is a full-service training course that provides everything you need to become a Certified Flight Instructor. The 6-week course includes:

• Flight activity and hands-on training
• Comprehensive ground instruction
• Development of flight training lesson plans
• Immersive training environment alongside current students and under CFI supervision

By the end of the course, participants will meet all requirements to be endorsed for a CFI check ride, with a check ride date scheduled promptly afterward.

*Orientation will be held on March 14th.

*McAir CFI Academy classes begin on March 17th.

Prerequisites: To enroll in the McAir Aviation CFI Academy, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Single Engine with Instrument Rating
• Fundamentals of Instruction (FOI) and Flight Instructor Airplane (FIA) Knowledge Tests completed by the third week of the course
• Spin Endorsement (completed separately from McAir) by the third week of the course

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the Altitude Pilot Pathway and how our custom path prepares aspiring pilots for a career flying at Allegiant. This event is an excellent opportunity for potential aviation students to learn more about flying at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (BJC) and what they can expect as students. The leadership team will be on hand to answer all your questions. Register today to take advantage of this informative and interactive event!

Join us at Altitude AERO Day on Saturuday, April 19th, hosted by McAir Aviation! It's time to head to the hangar and get hands-on access to current aircraft. This event covers everything related to airplanes, avionics, weather, and airspace. You'll have the opportunity to tour the McAir Aviation Flight Facility and hangar, meet McAir instructors and CFI's from the Altitude Pilot Pathway, and more! We'll have three sessions available, so you can pick a time that works best for your schedule.
