On Saturday, September 13, McAir Aviation was proud to partner with Challenge Air for Kids and Friends for their annual Denver Fly Day at Centennial Airport. This incredible event gives children and young adults with special needs the chance to experience the joy of aviation firsthand, and for many, it’s their very first time flying.
As the exclusive flight school partner for the Denver Fly Day, McAir brought together a dedicated team of eight Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) and five aircraft to help make the day unforgettable. Our CFIs volunteered their time and expertise, sharing not only the thrill of flight but also the inspiration and encouragement that comes with experiencing new possibilities from the sky.
Throughout the day, participants and their families were welcomed at Centennial Airport with smiles, excitement, and the opportunity to take to the skies alongside McAir’s instructors. Each flight offered more than just an airplane ride; it provided confidence, empowerment, and memories that will last a lifetime.
“Being able to share aviation with these kids is an honor,” said one of McAir’s CFIs. “The joy on their faces as we lifted off reminded us why we love flying and why it’s so important to give back to the community.”
The Fly Day wasn’t just impactful for participants — it was also a special opportunity for McAir Aviation to highlight its commitment to community involvement and training the next generation of aviators. As a school dedicated to inspiring and training potential future pilots, events like these allow McAir to showcase the transformative power of aviation while building meaningful connections beyond the cockpit.
We’re grateful to Challenge Air for Kids for leading this inspiring initiative and for inviting McAir Aviation to be part of the Denver Fly Day again this year. Together, we were able to turn dreams into takeoffs and share the gift of flight with some incredible young aviators.
