6-Hour Time-Building Blocks | Cessna 172 NAV II

The Long Distance Cross Country Program is designed for Commercial Single Engine Land pilots who want structured, meaningful cross-country time in a professional environment.

Program Structure

  • 6-hour blocks (3 hours out / 3 hours back)
  • Two Commercial SEL pilots or higher credentials sharing the aircraft
  • Real-world flight planning from Colorado Air and Space Port (KCFO)
  • Approved long-leg destinations including:
    • Salina Regional Airport (KSLN)
    • Hutchinson Municipal Airport (KHUT)
    • Double Eagle II Airport (KAEG)
    • Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport (KAMA)
    • Gillette-Campbell County Airport (KGCC)
    • Black Hills Airport-Clyde Ice Field (KSPF)

Aircraft

  • Cessna 172 NAV II
  • Emphasis on raw data flying and navigation fundamentals
  • Ideal for strengthening scan, fuel planning, and cockpit resource management skills

Investment

$76.91 per pilot, per hour

Eligibility

  • Commercial Single Engine Land certificate
  • Valid FAA Medical Certificate
  • Meet school checkout and operating requirements
