Our partnership with the Liberty University allows you to receive flight training at McAir Aviation while completing your Bachelor of Science degree through Liberty University Online.

Liberty University’s Bachelor of Science in Aviation online program focuses on the practical aeronautical decision-making skills you’ll need for a fulfilling career as a commercial, military, or missionary pilot. Liberty University has the largest flight school in Virginia, so you can be confident you will be studying under professors who possess superior knowledge and experience in the field while pursuing your degree in aviation online.

You’ll not only gain the technical skills and knowledge you need to succeed in the field of aeronautics, but you’ll also learn the following soft skills desired by the aviation industry and mission aviation organizations that will set you apart from your peers.

What You Can Expect:

  • Part 141 flight instruction

  • Regional airline hiring agreements

Financial Aid:

  • Unlike other programs, enrolling with Liberty University at McAir Aviation allows you to use Federal Financial Aid including scholarships, grants and loans for both your degree and your flight training.
  • The Veterans Administration Post-9/11 GI Bill program entitles veterans, their spouses, or their dependent children the opportunity to be awarded 100 percent of their educational expenses, including a housing stipend.

Reduced ATP Minimums & Hiring Agreements:

  • Liberty has been approved to offer the Restricted ATP program, commonly referred to as the reduced-hour ATP. This means you will require 1250 hours of flight time instead of 1500 hours to get hired as a First Officer at an Airline.
  • Liberty has several hiring agreements with SkyWest Airlines, ExpressJet, American Eagle and Piedmont.
